Betsy's Yarn & Tea Shop

Lindsey M a month ago

Came across Betsy’s online while looking for a local place to get good yarn and supplies and went in to check it out, and I absolutely loved it there! The owners were warm and friendly and helpful, the shop itself is lovely with a huge selection of yarn, supplies, teas, and much more. There was a knitting class going on while I was shopping and it sounded like so much fun, I’m planning on signing up for one myself!

Honestly, probably my entire favorite business in all of Chicago. The people there are just lovely and I always leave happy. Their tea selection is just incredible. And they do cool community things as well. Stop in and buy a couple teas or yarns.

I’ve been eyeing this place for a while, and I’m so glad I finally stopped in as it completely lived up to the hype. The tea selection alone is incredible. They have everything, black teas, green teas, caffeine-free options, super high-caffeine blends, and so many fun, unique flavors, as well as a large wall of loose leaf teas. I could’ve spent forever just browsing. What really got me was how much more they had beyond tea…local honey, the cutest teapots and colorful cups, and all kinds of little trinkets that made it so hard not to walk out with way more than I planned. And honestly, the prices were way better than I expected, which made it even more tempting. The older gentleman who rang me up was also super sweet, and very knowledgeable about everything! This is 100% going to be one of my new go-to spots. I’m already excited to go back and try more!

I’m so glad I found this shop. The staff is some of the most friendly people out there. There is a wide variety of yarns, teas, and crochet/knitting supplies to choose from. I took a beginners crochet hat class at Betsy’s. The class was amazing and my hat turned out great! The instructor who ran the class is very talented and knowledgeable about knitting/crocheting. They will help each individual person no matter what skill level they may have, so I highly recommend Betsy’s classes to anyone who wants to learn to crochet/knit. This place is definitely worth checking out!

Great local yarn shop situated in a cute and cozy downtown with easy parking! There's a nice selection of yarns, needles & notions, patterns, and teas. They also offer classes. The atmosphere is simple, quaint, and stately. Well worth a stop if you're in the area and love yarn/tea or know someone who does.
